SNILT - How a Logistics Company Strengthened Safety Training with SafetyNow ILT

A regional logistics company with more than 250 employees across several distribution facilities was experiencing a familiar safety challenge.

The company conducted regular safety meetings, but training was inconsistent. Supervisors often had little time to prepare safety talks, and many relied on outdated materials or rushed discussions. As a result, safety meetings were often seen as routine rather than meaningful.

Over a two-year period, the company experienced a rise in minor injuries involving material handling, slips and falls, and equipment use. None were catastrophic, but the safety director recognized that the organization needed to improve how safety training was delivered.

The company implemented SafetyNow ILT to give supervisors access to a structured library of instructor-led safety talks and training materials.

Instead of searching for topics or improvising presentations, supervisors could now access ready-to-deliver training kits designed for real workplace hazards. The materials included discussion prompts, incident examples, and practical prevention strategies.

The change had an immediate impact. Safety meetings became more interactive, with employees contributing observations and sharing near misses. Supervisors reported feeling more confident leading discussions because they had clear guidance and relevant content.

Within the first year of using SafetyNow ILT, the company saw a measurable improvement in safety performance. Minor injury rates declined, near-miss reporting increased, and several equipment-related hazards were identified and corrected before incidents occurred.

For the safety director, the biggest difference was consistency.

“SafetyNow ILT gave our supervisors the structure they needed to lead better safety conversations. Instead of scrambling for content, they could focus on engaging their teams and preventing incidents.”

Today, the company continues to use SafetyNow ILT as a core part of its safety program, helping supervisors deliver practical training that keeps safety front of mind across the organization.
